Turbo
November 17th, 2009On the way into the mall the other day, it was raining a bit so I started to run, telling the kids that I was “engaging turbo”. I heard the pitter-patter of little feet behind me and just assumed that they were all following. However, when I arrived at the door Jonathan had barely moved from where we started running.
When he finally got to the doors, he just shrugged and said “I don’t DO turbo.”
Lana Quote of the Month
October 9th, 2009“Hopefully I don’t make a mess like all my previous attempts”
Pretty good summary of Lana.
Scary
October 9th, 2009Here’s what you don’t want to hear when walking past a bedroom shared by two ten year-olds.
“Here, let me show you something really cool”.
Forest Park Balloon Glow
October 2nd, 2009We attended the Forest Park Balloon Glow this year with Brian and Jessica’s family. It was a little crazy to see how many people were crammed into Forest Park. The kids were a little apprehensive about the huge crowds and darkness but enjoyed themselves when we eventually found Brian and Jessica and a place to sit and watch the fireworks.
Silver Dollar City
September 29th, 2009Joy and I have visited Silver Dollar City several times without the kids, and this year we finally tried it with the kids. It’s a different theme park when you have three kids with you.

Aaron’s Tall Tale
September 27th, 2009Here’s a tall tale Aaron wrote for school.
I do sports better than anyone in the world, I am even better than the pros. I play soccer, basketball, track, hockey, and football all on the same day. In soccer I play every position at the same time. When I am forward I zoom past everyone so fast they get knocked over by the wind that I make. When I am defense when I kick the ball it would go into space and hit the aliens that are on mars. I went to the Olympics and won 40 gold meals. Last season I scored about 100 goals. Once I did so well in a game after the game Superman visited me to tell me what a great job I did. I am also 84 years old.
